Is space travel not common where you are from?

Not really, no. I mean, we've been to our moon, and we've sent robots to Mars? But major interplanetary expeditions aren't something we're advanced enough to manage yet.

I imagine that you aren't familiar with alien species yet.

Not really, no. We've mostly just got humans from Earth.

I would ask what Earth is like but I'm sure it is just as vast and varied as most plants its size are.

It is. There are so many different kinds of people and places, it would take a very long time to explain.

You mentioned something about multiple worlds too?

Yeah. But I'm not ... directly involved with that? I just know that a friend has been grappling with it.

Even tangentially involved, I'm sure it must be messy.

I can only speak to different timelines from my universe.

Are there a lot of them?

As far as I know, we come from the same timeline, but from different points along such a line. I should have been more specific.

I have unfortunately learned about the fate of my own home and I seek to change that while I am here.

A lot of my friends are here for the same reason. Though our universe is on a bit of a smaller scale than yours, it sounds.

Inhabited ones, at least. As far as I'm aware, Earth is the only one close enough for us to communicate with, though our tech is fairly limited in that respect.

Kind of, yeah. Cell phones function pretty much the way these do.

Where I am from, we also communicate through holograms.
